Very nice reading as I sit here gnawing my protein bar. Grr. No, it sounds delicious, all of it. Most especially "Jack Vance tribute story, by Walter." I hope that's something we'll all be able to read someday.
See, this is why I should just drive to Worldcon and stop at your place on the way so you can feed me . . . pasta out of a box sadly pales in comparison to REAL cooking. -drools-
Excuse while I beat out the fire my burning envy appears to have started in the office....
Perhaps a collaborative cookbook project is in order? With short stories?
Indeed, it was a fine weekend, one worthy of jealousy.
The Jack Vance tribute story will indeed see print, in a Dying Earth tribute anthology edited by Gardner Dozois and George RR Martin.
Yay to the above.
This was my first experience at a writer's workshop, and I _loved_ it. I'm looking across the span of months until Rio Hondo returns, and feeling depressed. I may head up to Taos this summer so I can explore more of the hiking trails.
I've even begun to enjoy writing short stories. Speaking of which I better get back to the rewrite -- excellent notes courtesy of the brilliant writers at Rio Hondo.
