Seeing the Elephant

Crossed an item off my life list today:

Rode the giant steampunk elephant. In France. On my birthday.

Happy birthday Mr. Williams! May you ride the Nautilus on your next B-day.

But I actually came here to tell you that I just finished reading This is Not a Game, and that I literally could not put the book away while reading it. Lately my reading habits have been in decline - too much eye strain caused me to limit my reading to 20-30 minutes a day. This is the first book in the last couple of years that kept me awake late at night, reading compulsively. Yesterday I even got online to google "Ford Phalanx"... while still holding the book in one hand and typing with the other. Couldn't put it away, you see. The bits in Jakarta were fantastic and the rest wasn't far behind on awesomeness.

Thank you, Michael. Tell your friends to buy copies and reserve some late-night reading time.
