I'd really like to see a hologram of the sun's corona so that I could see that texture in 3D, and find out if the braiding effects that I could swear I saw were the result of a three-dimensional image being impressed on my two-dimensional retinas.

It's as though this were a round black hole cut into a piece of thick white satin -- all those folds and creases.
Or a round black hole in an arctic snow cover.
