Avalé This!
The week's mail brought copies of the new l'Atlante edition of Implied Spaces, translated by our very own Jean-Daniel.
The title seems to translate as "Pocket Worlds."
Or maybe "The One Who Gobbles Worlds."
It has to be admitted that either meaning would fit the story.
I have a feeling the Benjamin Carré artwork isn't going to do sales any harm.
Labels: avaleur de mondes, France, Implied Spaces

"World Swallower" will do. Enjoy!

I love the cover!
Jean-Daniel, why isn't it "L'Espaces Implicites?"
Not that I've ever understood why one title is better than another.
I enjoyed your rendition of my villanelle!
Thanks for the kind words, dubjay. "Espaces implicites" was my first choice for a French title, but the publisher decided it didn't sing enough in French and asked me to propose a few others; "Avaleur de mondes" made the grade.
For the record, the publisher and I toyed with the following:
DUNGEONS AND PHOTONS
A SINGLE SWORDSMAN
THE SWORDSMAN AND THE AVENGER
... but Avaleur de mondes it was.
Best,
Jean-Daniel
